Aka Matsuba are a red Koi with a black net pattern. When
buying a Aka Matsuba,
make sure that the net pattern is equal all over
the Koi. Watch out for any discolored scales or old
scars. The Hi
should be very deep too.

Matsubas have been around almost as long as the Asagis. They are closly
related,
sharing the same net pattern.
